Complete modernization of hot water storage, temperature control and pumping for 2 paper machines including 2 new tanks, 3 x 200 HP pumps, 17 instrument control loops, and 3 heat exchangers.

Wood, Banani acted as representative of plant engineering department to coordinate work between plant operations and design engineering firm for all electrical and instrumentation

Relocation of a contractor trailer park on an industrial plant site. Park capacity of approx. 20 large trailers. Electrical distribution equipment was relocated in stages from the existing site.

Camera, Paper Machine

 

 

High speed digital camera system for paper machine break analysis. The system includes 12 digital camera installation including air, water, power and communication services; an industrial rack with control and data storage PC’s and two configuration and playback stations. The system operates on an Industrial Ethernet fibre optic network and is interlocked to the paper machine break detector system and the sectional drives for speed references.

Wood, Banani acted as project leader and was responsible for all work including design, fabrication and installation of mounting brackets and air and water supply to the camera enclosures.

Paper Web Quality Control System.

 

 

Project included complete replacement of 2 paper web scanner and control systems with new Honeywell - Da Vinci systems. Each new system included; web scanner, master control cabinet, dry and wet end operator stations, engineering workstations and network printers. The new equipment had to be integrated with existing CD actuator cabinets for basis weight, humidity and caliper controls as well as MD Basis Weight controls. One system was interfaced through a serial communication protocol to a Valmet dilution headbox CD controller. The system operates on an Industrial Ethernet fibre optic / CAT 5 network and is interlocked to the paper machine break detector system, the sectional drives for speed references and some paper machine section logic.

Wood, Banani acted as project leader and was responsible for all work including procurement and coordination of scanner installation engineering.
