For this 7,900 m2, 3 storey heritage building, WBA
provided rehabilitization of electrical system and Art Gallery fitup.

The work encompassed new utility services,
transformer vault, power distribution, branch power, emergency lighting
and fire alarm system.

Concurrent with the building retrofit, two art
galleries were fitted up; including a gallery to accommodate the noted
Fire Stone Collection.

Electrical construction value $450,000.00 -
completed in 1992.

Upgrading
Electrical Systems
-
Heritage building upgrade and improvement of
existing electrical systems.

Evaluated options for retrofit of branch wiring
and telecommunications facilities within the building peripheral offices.

The work included upgrades for life safety, fire
hazard and implementation of a vertical and horizontal wireway system.

Wireways were architecturally integrated in a
baseboard detail and vertical riser enclosures.

Construction value $750,000.00 - completed in
1990.

Parliament Hill Library, Ottawa - Distribution and
Lighting System Upgrade

Replaced main distribution switchboard and branch
circuit panelboards.

Replaced existing furniture rail lighting units in
the stack areas and wiring system to improve safety and maintainability.

Lighting systems were architecturally integrated
into decorative furniture and mouldings.

Upgraded general reading/reference area lighting
with indirect lighting to the dome.

Construction budget $300,000.00 - completed in
1989.
