  • Incorporated upgrade of the floor branch wiring to accommodate the modern office space requirements.
  • Design of data cable riser including conduit and IBM cabling system.
    Fit-up of space required to house - the Treasury Department, Department of Finance and the Public Service Commission.
  • Completed over a 3 year period 1984 to 1987.
  • Overall construction cost $25,000,000.00
  • Electrical construction cost $3,500,000.00
  • Data cabling design and distribution cost $1,000,000.00

  • Tenant Fitup of Floors 6, 7, 8, 10 and 9th Floor Computer Room

  • For this 33,000 m2, 24 storey high rise office facility, Wood, Banani provided base building system, retrofit and tenant fitup for four floors.

  • Initially, evaluated the program to identify client user requirements and scope of work.

  • The work encompassed power distribution, branch power, lighting and telecommunications.

  • Energy efficient lighting design suitable for electronic office work environment and in compliance with PWC and IES RP24 Standards.

  • Integration of horizontal wireways at the workstations, and local risers with architectural and interior design.
  • Construction was phased while the building was partially occupied. During this state Wood, Banani provided contract construction administration.
  • Commissioning the 9th floor computer room systems included:
  • Witnessing site test and instructing the contractor on appropriate testing procedures and preparing reports.
  • Review of operation/maintenance manuals; as-built drawings submitted by the contractor and commenting on compliance with PWGSC contract documents.
  • Assisting PWGSC with the preparation of major equipment maintenance agreement tender packages.
